Nexium 24H keeps all the moisture from the bathroom from occurring. It is used for the relief of chest pain or for frequent heartburn. It will not provide the relief of frequent acid reflux. It is the only 24H that provides relief for up to 4 weeks.
Each tablet contains 20 mg of esomeprazole magnesium.
This is a medicine. Keep this medication out of reach of children. Always check the packaging for safety and efficacy. If you are using Nexium 24HR or Prilosec together with lansoprazole, do not use these two products at once. Using esomeprazole in combination with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) may lead to a significant increase in heartburn symptoms. Ask your doctor about the potential drug interactions.
Do not take Nexium 24HR or Prilosec if you are taking lansoprazole. Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to Nexium 24HR or Prilosec or any other PPI within two weeks of taking Nexium 24HR or Prilosec together with lansoprazole, or any other PPI within two weeks of using esomeprazole in the past, have had a severe side effect of heartburn or loose stools, or have severe stomach pain with a persistent sour taste in the mouth.
Nexium 24HR and Prilosec may cause side effects similar to those of other PPI, such as constipation, nausea, upset stomach, loss of appetite, dizziness, blurred vision, and trouble paying or concentrating.
